The story of the granaries at the Koklej Homestead began after 1980, when Father Jože from the valley moved the first granary to us. He saved it from collapse, bought it from the previous owners, who wanted to saw it for firewood, numbered it, dismantled it, and put it back at home, at the Koklej Homestead. And the same was with the second, the third, and so on.
Today, a new story is written by 6 granaries and a chapel. The love for antiquities and heritage was inherited from the father by the daughter Ana, who decided to embark on the path of tourism with the granaries. The granaries are from 160 to 270 years old, and have been restored to their original appearance. We currently have two apartments in two granaries, but the story has further ideas waiting for us in the future.
